Team Berkhidmat // June 2019 // Malaysia Trip

Maryland FCA is excited to be working in cooperation with our international staff in Malaysia to create a unique service opportunity.  From May 29th through June 9th, we will be working with our FCA teammates in Malaysia & heading there to work a sports camp & serve the local community.  Our team will be called Team "Berkhidmat," which means "to serve" in Malay, as we look forward to serving the athletes & coaches of Malaysia.

Team of 10 collegiate athletes to be huddle leaders, coach with, & serve alongside our Malaysia staff during their sports camp

Seeking a team of 10 collegiate athletes or recently graduated collegiate athletes the ages of 18-24

To fulfill the vision of FCA... to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches & athletes... to reach athletes, coaches, and community members and show them Christ's love in a relevant way... to serve in a camp setting

$2500 (including a non-refundable deposit of $500 by December 31)
fundraising training will be provided

Trip Information

Lodging:  Lodging will be included in the cost of your trip.  We will be staying in air conditioned cabin-style rooms.

Ground Transportation:  Ground transportation around Malaysia will be included as well.  We will be traveling in 12 passenger vans.

Flights:  The cost of flights will be included in the overall cost of the trip.  
DO NOT BOOK YOUR OWN FLIGHT.  We will book as a group once you have been selected to be a part of Team Berkhidmat.

Food:  All meals (breakfast, lunch, & dinner) will be included in the cost of your trip.

Spending Money:  With the majority of food, lodging, & transportation included in the cost of the trip, the need for spending money should be minimal.  That being said, if you would like any souvenirs or additional food, you will be responsible for those costs.
